Adding a coating to your brick home will increase the maintenance on your home – but it can also
offer you a plethora of different looks and feels whilst still including all the fabulous functional
qualities brick has to offer. Consider painting or plastering your home to produce completely different looks.

Painting brick retains the clear outline of the brick beneath.

A bagged plaster finish is achieved by applying a
thin layer of plaster over the brick surface with a
cloth, such as hessian. This produces a rustic, textured finish which shows the outline of the
brick beneath.

A fully rendered house produces a monolithic effect and is very popular.
